Reading Partners has an exciting opportunity for you to continue working with Seattle students to help them to continue developing reading skills over the summer!
We will be running summer programming at one Seattle site through the Beverly Park Elementary summer school program. This year, the program will only serve Beverly Park students, but we hope to expand programming in future years. The location for the summer program will be at Shorewood Elementary School.
WHAT: Reading Partners summer tutoring!
WHO: You! The more volunteers we have, the more students we can serve!
WHY: To help our students continue to develop reading skills over the summer!
WHERE: Shorewood Elementary School, 2725 Southwest 116th Street, Seattle, WA 98146
WHEN: Four weeks of programming from June 27-July 21st (*no tutoring on the 4th of July).
SESSION TIMES: There will be one 45-minute session time Monday-Thursday between 9:15-10:00AM.
*Exact session time still to be confirmed, though will likely not vary more than 5-10 minutes beyond listed time above.
BOOK DONATIONS: If you are not able to commit to volunteering this summer, you can still help! We are actively seeking book donations about the ocean for our summer program. The summer programming will be ocean-themed! Please consider dropping off ocean-themed books at our current school sites! We are also looking for ocean posters and decorations!
